International Trailer Debut and Character Posters of the long-delayed 'Seventh Son' Movie (2015)



Seventh Son is an upcoming fantasy/adventure film very loosely inspired by the novel The Spook's Apprentice (titled The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch in America). The story centers around Tom Ward, a seventh son of a seventh son, and his adventures as the apprentice of the Spook. It is directed by Sergei Bodrov. It features music composed by Marco Beltrami, which he replaced A. R. Rahman and Tuomas Kantelinen. 


A new international trailer of the long-delayed upcoming fantasy/action/adventure movie 'Seventh Son' has been released online. The film is based on Joseph Delaney's young-adult novel series. You can watch the trailer and check out the new posters below:

WHEN DARKNESS FALLS, THE SON WILL RISE



After having the release date shifted numerous times, it is scheduled to be released in 3-D and IMAX 3D on February 6, 2015. Universal Pictures will be distributing the film.


Plot:
"Based on Joseph Delaney's young-adult novel series, the story centers on Thomas Ward (Ben Barnes), the seventh son of a seventh son, who becomes the apprentice to an exorcist named Master Gregory (Jeff Bridges). Together the two combat ghosts and witches in the 1700s, but they must soon battle with Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore), the queen of evil, as Tom falls for a young witch named Alice (Alicia Vikander)."

The film features Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore as the Spook and Mother Malkin. Sam Claflin and Alicia Vikander were in negotiations to star as Tom Ward and Alice, but in June 2011, negotiations with Claflin fell through and Ben Barnes replaced him. Vikander was cast.
