American Sniper is an upcoming 2014-15 American biographical action film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Jason Dean Hall.
The film stars Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Luke Grimes, Kyle Gallner, Sam Jaeger, Jake McDorman and Cory Hardrict.

Cooper plays Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in American military history, who claims to have killed 255 people during his four tours in Iraq, and early word is that he is a shoe in for a plethora of Best Acting nominations when awards season rolls around.

The film is scheduled to receive a limited release on December 25, 2014, before opening wide on January 16, 2015.

Plot:

"U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle is sent to Iraq with only one mission: to protect his brothers-in-arms. His pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield and, as stories of his courageous exploits spread, he earns the nickname "Legend." However, his reputation is also growing behind enemy lines, putting a price on his head and making him a prime target of insurgents.
