The fifth season of the fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones was ordered by HBO in April 2014, together with the sixth season and is scheduled to premiere on April 12, 2015.
It will adapt material from A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, the fourth and fifth novels in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.

A sneak peek in this teaser sees a dishevelled and distinctly unhappy-looking Tyrion tumble from a wooden crate and stare out angrily. He was last seen escaping Kings Landing as a fugitive in last year’s dramatic finale.

Season five of Game of Thrones debuts on 12 April at 9pm on HBO and on 13 April in the UK on Sky Atlantic.
