The dialogue promo features Shah Rukh Khan as Charlie and also highlights his incredible-physique and bad-ass attitude. And there is some quality action with super slow-motion scenes. Besides Shahrukh Khan as Charlie, Happy New Year also stars Deepika Padukone as Mohini, Abhishek Bachchan as Nandu Bhide, Sonu Sood as Jag, Boman Irani as Tammy, Vivaan Shah as Rohan & Jackie Shroff. The tagline of the film indicates that it is a musical heist.
The film is scheduled to be released on Diwali, 24 October 2014, in three different languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film will be distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films.

This will be the third collaboration of Khan with the director; they previously worked on Main Hoon Na (2004) and Om Shanti Om (2007), the latter of which also featured Padukone as the female lead.

Happy New Year will is expected to open on five thousand screens worldwide. The film has no competition for two weeks from the day of its release and with that number of screens; you can only imagine the massive dividends the makers will earn & the opening of the movie, ofcourse will be earth-shattering. This Diwali the Shah Rukh Khan dhamaka will be definitely bigger, maybe the GRANDEST EVER!
